Every time the cold season in Kenya sets in, many of us envision cozy moments snuggled under blankets, enjoying the warmth of a fire and a hot beverage. However, for those living in disadvantaged conditions especially in rural communities, every drop in temperature is a harsh battle for survival. At Tekelbei Foundation, we understand this struggle all too well, which is why we launched our Donate-A-Blanket Donation Campaign. Our mission is clear and impactful: to provide high-quality warm blankets, to those in need in Bomet County, Kenya and surrounding areas.

Originally established in 2016, Tekelbei Foundation has since expanded its impact in supporting the elderly who frequently face a life of neglect, loneliness, and ill health. Despite our relatively short tenure, we’ve made a significant impact on society, garnering attention from esteemed individuals who commend our efforts. Our mission encompasses having a human-centered approach towards solving key social issues that affect women, men, and children including the elderly to allow them lead an empowered and dignified life.

Tekelbei Foundation, offers you an opportunity to consider the plight of those less fortunate. Become a Hero and provide the basic comfort of warmth to those in need. As part of humanity, it’s our duty to care for one another, and that’s precisely what we do.

With the overwhelming support received, we distributed over 800 blankets to the elderly. This year, we aim to distribute 1500 blankets to combat the harsh cold climate in Bomet County. Your donation of a blanket can save lives.

Blankets:  We encourage donors to contribute new blankets of high quality, ensuring they are clean and in good condition.

Drop-off Locations: We organize convenient drop-off points where donors can physically deliver their blanket donations.

Cash Donations:

Online Donation: On our website we have set up an online donation portal, allowing donors to contribute financially.

Bank Transfers: We provide bank account details for direct transfers, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial transactions.

Fundraising Events: We plan to organize fundraising events (as for now online campaigns) to request for cash donations specifically for purchasing blankets.

Communication and Engagement:

Spread Awareness: Our website helps us in informing potential donors about the projects and current progress of our Donate-A-Blanket project and its impact.
